WordCamp

I’m going to camp! Okay, not real camping with fires and smores, but a weekend long seminar on WordPress, the application I use here to power my Web site. I know it’s dorky, but I’m excited. And best yet, WordPress comes free with Cruzio, so I can share the love with my customers. That’s what I call a win-win!

  2. Westi should be on her way to the City now, Mom. Woo, did you end up going for both days instead of just today? Your Dad is bummed I didn’t go with you but I just couldn’t fathom it with all that is going on. Can’t wait to hear what you learn though!

  3. Yep, I’m sitting in the Swedish American Hall in the Castro District of San Francisco right now. So far we’re learning about a really easy way to PodCast on WordPress. I’ll need to play with it later at home. Dad, we should get out your microphone. =)

  4. Oh, one more comment. I should just say for the record that I have a little crush on Matt Mullenweg, the young and adorable founding developer of WordPress, and Westi is having fun teasing me ;-)

  5. Are you staying for tomorrow too?

  6. Laura, unfortunately no. I drove the girls (Jessi and Diana) up here today and we’re driving back this evening. I just don’t think I’ll have the energy to drive all the way back up here tomorrow (I only got 5 hrs. of sleep last night, 5.5 the night before) plus I’ve got my new Harry Potter to read.

  7. Hey Westi, hope you’re resting up and happily absorbed in the new Potter book. I slept in and just finished my WordCamp post. After reflecting on yesterday, I want to thank you again for the rides. What a fun and useful day it was!
