Yesterday was mom-in-law’s 59th birthday and the official beginning of my 2-week birthday celebration. In search of adding flexibility and centeredness to the next year of my life, I began the day with a 1.5 hour yoga class where I “hung-out” upside down on the yoga wall. Talk about a rush of blood to the head! It was the most enjoyable part of my day.
Until I got to dinner.
We dined at the new Seabright eatery La Posta. Bistro style Italian food, top notch wine, and a “flight” of salami. Now *that’s* a rush to the head! We also revealed the birthday gift I’ve been working on for Mrs. 59, www.whistlingdragonfly.com. Sadly, La Posta is not one of my company’s WiFi hotspots, so the surprise was somewhat muted. But hopefully the Web site will be enjoyed for many years to come (just like this one).
The birthday continues as I pack up for a trip to Washington this weekend to visit my dear friend Audra. Let the celebrations continue!
have an awesome time!

Thank you thank you! Yes, I did get the gift certificate from Spoiled Rotten before I left. Thank you sooo much! It’s going to pamper-city next weekend when I get my hair done with Karen (thanks Dad & Laura!) and then go to Spoiled Rotten for additional treatment (I’m thinking pedicure and facial).
Audra and I are having a great time. It’s rainy here in WA (surprise!) but we visited the Museum of Glass (super cool) yesterday and gabbed until 12:30 last night. So I’m just waking up. But I was awakened by her adorable kitten Floyd, which was the perfect way to start my day. =)

Hey Birthday Girl!
Just adding my “Happy Birthday” wishes as well.
Glad to hear your having a good time. My wish for you is that the year that started perfectly by being awakened by an adorable kitten could be the most perfect year (so far) of your enchanted life.
Keep up the celebration!
I love you.

I love you too Dad! Unfortunately, I had to make my own coffee today (instead of a certain some-one bringing it to me in bed)
But the kitten made up for it. Oh, the most enchanted year yet, I like that!

Hey, Wes, that ‘lurker’ came to life for your birthday!
Almost as good as coffee or chia in bed. I hope you have
a great pampered weekend coming up. Mike won’t be able to
resist when you get all beautiful - maybe he even will take
you out on the town again. Or at least a walk on the beach!
love you
